Designed by surgeons, for surgeons, abdominal and thoracic ASSP drops into the patented Cut Suit® human-worn surgical simulator. Manufactured by Strategic Operations, Inc., the Cut Suit & ASSP combination is the world’s only Hyper-Realistic® open surgery simulator.
As Sr. Industrial Designer I drove the digital transformation from “traditional cast molds,” to full scale, in house production. I designed all body organs in CAD, utilizing 3D scans of originals or clay sculptures, and transformed them into a working CAD model that could be 3D printed and molds based on. Once the surgeons signed off on the geometry, I designed molds for in house production. This was an amazing experience and inspirational team.
